Today we were class marking the biology test, and this was one of the answers this person wrote down.
What is the substance in the red blood cells that carries the oxygen?
Haemogoblin.
It's only two days more till December break. Today, I managed to get mum to bring me out to take photos, so we went to Jubilee Park, near St. Andrews School. It's pretty boring, actually, unless you focus on the nice clouds in the sky for your photos. In the distance, you can actually see the mosque near Kiarong.

Math's coursework's waiting for me, and the first draft is due this Friday, so I'm going to stop procastinating.

i'm back for a little while to share something funny :D
i saw this in the music office.
not meaning to offend anyone, but this is what some kids put down in their
music test.
in the LISTENING TEST the song played was
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,
a second language student put
Tickle, Tickle Little Star.name a percussion instrument.
ans: tangerine.and this

is a wrist.that ends it, i guess.
the expression concert was good but it started and ended late. came to school next day feeling like a zombie. still haven't caught up on those hours sleep yet. today was geo and chinese, humongous amounts of writing. my languages and options exams are over, only the sciences and maths left, which is pretty good. three more days...
some things to look at.

Vertigo
Wednesday, January 23, 2008,9:39 PM
I’ve got my wellies for the DOE trip. I’ve asked many people about the DOE trip, so I basically know what to expect. It shouldn’t be so difficult this time, except for the LEECHES, still and the hot days and the filtered sour water and the allergies and the hotness and the cooking-yourself-dinner thing. Yes. I can’t help being a worry wart at times.
My sister has something to say, yet again. She says that her Maths teacher is
DEFINITELY CHINESE because he says whole as ‘whorrlll’, class as ‘craasss. ’
“CRAASS, PREASE FINED THE PLIMME NUMBBRR ORFF CHELFF.”
I’m
over-emphasizing it, but apparently it’s like that. Oh, and his name is Mr ‘RIMM.’ IT makes me think of phua chu kang, and the singlish he speaks. All the ‘
lahs,’ ‘
bahs’ and ‘
mahs.’
Speaking of PCK, the Singapore music trip hasn’t received a very good response, so far the numbers of people total to THREE. That’s very little. Looks like there isn’t much hope of the trip being on, or people are just taking their time… unless it was like that as well, last year. Goes to show perhaps making the lightning hit the same spot again (and organizing a great trip) is a difficult thing to do. As with sequels of movies, they never turn out as good as the original movie.
Listen to this song. It’s a little old, but likewise still good.
Vertigo by Jump, Little ChildrenLeaning from the balcony
As if without a care
Wondering should I take the fall
Or should I take the stairs
Have I already fallen over
and now spinning in the air
I don't know
Cause I'm in this vertigo
but lightning does hit the same spot, seriously. Labels: funnies, music, school
Be sure there's a problem in the 1st place before working hard to solve it

One fine day, a bus driver went to the bus garage, started his bus, anddrove off along the route. No problems for the first few stops - a fewpeople got on, a few got off, and things went generally well.
At the next stop, however, a big hulk of a guy got on. Six feet eight, built like a wrestler, arms hanging down to the ground. He glared atthe driver and said, "Big John doesn't pay!" and sat down at the back.
Did I mention that the driver was five feet three, thin, and basically meek? Well, he was. Naturally, he didn't argue with Big John, but hewasn't happy about it. The next day the same thing happened - Big John got on again, made a show of refusing to pay, and sat down. And the next day, and the next.
This grated on the bus driver, who started losing sleep over the way BigJohn was taking advantage of him. Finally he could stand it no longer. He signed up for body building courses, karate, judo, and all that good stuff.
By the end of six months, he had become quite strong; what's more, he feltreally good about himself. So on the next Monday, when Big John once again got on the bus and said, "Big John doesn't pay!"
The driver stood up, glared back at the passenger, and screamed, "And why not?"
With a surprised look on his face, Big John replied, "Big John has a bus pass ..."
------------
size speaks a lot, but once in awhile you get people who are big softies :D
size intimidates, it does. I've been one of the shorter ones a lot of my life, although not the SHORTEST.
in the story above, Big John seems to be.. maybe slightly less intelligent- his use of the third pronouns and all that. anyway.
this is how to handle problems. :D
off to study. :)

daddy's pronounciation
Saturday, December 15, 2007,8:21 PM
today my dad walked into my bedroom and he said,
'Hui, you're cousin's girlfriend is a duck.'
Duck? as in, quack, duck? turned out he meant 'DUX'
---------------
today i went for a lunch at an auntie's house. she has the most gorgeous pets- meet Buddy.
he's cute, and he wants to be your buddy.
he's a Pomeranian and he's four years old. My auntie got him from the animal shelter- looking at him, why would anyone not want him?

and now, Bella, the furry siamese cat.
her parents are pedigree show cats, but she 'wasn't white enough' so she was sold. but still, very cute and very attention-seeking. she loves being held like a baby. she doesn't scratch either, but very picky with food.

the second last week
Friday, November 30, 2007,10:58 PM
this week has been a horrible rush, first the cancelled DOE trip, then monday's athletics day and CAT tests, then the social.
You might think that once those exams are over, things would go smooth sailing after that, but it's been the exact opposite. my english coursework is due next week, and the final piece next week, the music performance next week as well as aurals, only a silly bio test this week.
the first question scared us, it was something we'd never heard of before:
what is the function of a mesophyll cell? the social's songs started off okay, but towards the end most of it got more couple-y, with slow songs and less dance music. however, there were some outstanding bands among the bands that played that night.
now that the weekends are here, i'm going to try make the most of it and attack the homework pile. now for today's topic- cute, precocious kids.
i overheard a couple of little kids talking among themselves today, among them was this little girl who was really talkative.
she said, " i have many cousins, you know, and one of them is
BOTAK and the other has hair.'
then another one said, 'i only have one cousin'
then she said, 'oh, i have zillion-million-billions- of cousins.'
later she told the little guy who was singing jingle bells beside her, '
aiyah you sing like a
GIRL.'
then later she was discussing spiderman and she said a matter-of-factly, ' you can't be spiderman without your suit! do you have the spiderman suit?'
today i got a subsitute cover teacher during tutor group. he told us a riddle-
there was a woman in a restaurant, she died while eating turtle soup.we found out, so far:
- she died of shock- a heart attack
- the turtle soup killed her
- there was no foreign object in the soup, nothing that was in there that shouldn't have been, it was a soup that anybody could eat and not die.
- not an allergy
- the turtle was properly cooked
- she wasn't poisoned
- she was perfectly healthy.
any conclusions? feel free to post in the cbox =)
one last thing, i have a silly joke: The English teacher asked his 3 students, a German, a Frenchman, and a Chinese, to make up a sentence using the words green , pink, and yellow.
The German student went first, and said: “I woke up this morning, brushed my teeth with a green brush, dried my face with a pink towel, and put on my yellow shirt”.
The Frenchman was next, and said with flair: “I woke up this morning, the grass all around was green , there were beautiful pink flowers everywhere, and yellow sunshine shone brilliantly upon them.
The teacher was smiling with pride, his students have learnt well.
Then it was the Chinese student’s turn. He said, equally confidently: “I woke up this morning, the phone was ringing green green , so I pink up the phone, and said yellow ???”

hello everyone =) here's a random link or two for you to visit heh -
*bags-artwent out today with ching and camille. Poor ching had been trying to contact me the entire morning, calling me thru her house number and getting camille to sms me. She called four times on her home number and I didn't answer because i thought it was a wrong number thing- i get that frequently.
I remember the time nurul made this random caller mad. We were on our way to maria's house when this random person called. and it went like this.
Me: hello?
Random person (RP): helo, siapa ni?
me: errr...
Then nurul took the phone from me and pretended to be some old malay woman as well.
Nurul:He-lo?
RP:siapa ani?
(went on around four times, then nurul took another strategy. She pretended to be this posh lady and began to speak with a british accent)
Nurul: hello. hello. who IS this?
RP:helo?
Nurul:Who ARE you? Who are you looking for?
RP:mumble-mumble
Nurul: Please do not call this number again, this is a wrong number ,understand?
(shuts phone)
Yes, that is how nurul saved the day and got rid of my "stalker". XD
Then I went to ego to meet up but no one was there yet, so i looked around till this shoplady began to get annoyed and wear the buy-something-or-get-out look.I went out and called Camille, and she said ching had ran out of credit (ooh) and couldn't sms to confirm.
By the time they both came it began to drizzle a bit as we set out to look for the SLR cameras. There were only three shops around gadong so we went round to the places with my little red umbrella. This was really fruitless as there were so few SLR cameras about. The only place that provided means of buying an SLR cam was QQEstore (EEQstore, as my mum calls it) but there were no real models to try out.
When we were by the roadside Ching told me to pose with my red umbrella, then when i was walking/posing there was a honk from a car and Camille saw her dad in his car while we were by the roadside :P so embarassing, wandering about like that- and we were lazy to look for zebra-crossings as well...
you can stand under my umbrella-There was a nice olympus camera at one of the photoshops, it look pro-ish and when you pressed a little button its flash thingy would pop out. It was apparently a digital cam, not an slr but later mum said there are digital SLRs. But anyway the megapixel value was low... (7.1 mp) and the shop people were really blur.
Then we went back to the mall and walked around then went to chill for fries. The guy there must have thought we were nuts when we asked him if we could try all the flavours. It was yummy, though. =)
After that we went to the arcade and watched pros play DDR. =) Then went to centrepoint to wait for ching's mum.
Went to dancing class later to burn of a week's worth of stores. Too much snack around and no exercise. =D Off to sleep now. Going to pierce my ear again tomorrow, the side that closed up. Any idea how long i have been going around with one earring only? Better get it over and done with so i can wear nice earrings. =D

Friday
Friday, July 27, 2007,9:25 PM
It's been a really rainy friday again, i stepped into a puddle and in the process wet my polkadot shoes! =(
The morning was fine. Popped by school and sorted out some stuff. Then I went to my grandma's for lunch and met my little cousin. Here's her posing in with a korean drama going "peekaboo!"

cute, right? she has a phobia of tiny black ants. she tried to squish a few with a pillow, and later with a tissue. She's hyper; she chased my sister around with a fly swatter, she wanted to kill every single black ant she saw!

And here's the only place in town where you'll see this sort of thing happening.

I don't know why but I just feel that I should post some jokes to brighten this post up a little more.
This is from my sister.
A typical day in class. Teacher walks in.
Tch:Class, "jip"(zip) your mouth! You are veli noisee!
Student: Teacher our mouth no jip.
Tch: Use your common sense lahh!
Student: Common sense not in our five senses, teacher!
& there was a case of this four unemployed idiots. (from channy)
Four unemployed idiots decided to start a car repair business. On their first day, they advertised a lot but there were no customers. Why?
They had their shop on the first floor, not on the ground floor.
Then they sold off their business because they weren't earning anything. They bought a taxi but still had no customrers. Why?
They all sat in the taxi and there was no space for customers.
So their car broke down at the foot of a hill. (major uh-oh there) The four idiots tried to push their car but it didn't move. Why?
Two were pushing it back, and two were pushing it forward!
----------I guess that end my post for now. Enjoy the pictures and the silly jokes! =)
