found this inspirational picture on the internet, and the rest came after that.
i've been told my previous layout had problems in the other browsers like Safari,
godzilla mozilla firefox. Not so sure about netscape, i bet my dad's the only one using that now.
So, i'm back to the conventional layout- the everything on one page layout.
the social was quite fun, the music was better than the last. I think the people who didn't go lost out on some decent music, but you can't blame them, they've gained a phobia of bad socials since the previous one. the previous one had some odd music, not exactly ones you could dance to, but this social at empire had some 'danceable' oldies- like dancing queen, don't worry, be happy. And to finish it off, 1 song for the couples.

phew. i've finished my new blog layout. i confess, this is the hardest one i've ever done, and it's still not perfect yet. (
i'll leave you to discover the mistakes (: ) this layout messes around with javascript and a lot of css, of which javascript i'm not entirely sure of. i'm out of practice now, so thus i took a longer time- 2days, yesterday and today. sure feels great to have it done.
sis started school yesterday, she's now in secondary one. still can't get over that feeling she's still very small and young and manja... how can she be in secondary one? she's going on thirteen now! a lot of her friends have moved away, (including her ahem*cough*) and all she can think about is the fact that she has to climb several flights of stairs to her secondary block classroom.
another thing, she has to study commerce.
muahaha a lot of memorising, she will
DETEST it. Also, she might be studying form 1 and form 2 in a year- the booklist states she needs to be buying form 1 & form 2 books as well!

popped by school today to get some stuff from my locker. couldn't help noticing on the way to T block there wer more notice boards around the school (NEW?), and the bulletin that states all the asa's had a missing 'S' in the word 'ASA.'

wanderings about town & my 3rd layout

I went to Tasek with my parents and sister, one of those occasional in-frequent trips when i feel really unfit. So, i have been sitting in front of the laptop/computer most of the time, folding my legs underneath me which is supposed to be "bad" for me... and with that I induced knee pain so i spent my time round kiulap yesterday climbing stairs painfully. Now i know how it feels like to be an old person with horrible knee pain.
Oh yes, yesterday's trip was really quite fun, minus the back-street wanderings where weirdos await to ambush unsuspecting people. Chefs peeping out from kitchen peepholes, people hiding round corners. As quoted, GET A LIFE. (harsh.) Mayanne and I wandered about looking for interesting places to go, most of the shops having clothes that fit but did not suit our wallets. So we ended up in Coffeezone with a mocktail and a basket of calamari rings. When there's no shopping, eat. =)
That being the exact thing we had in mind, we went up to capers where we ate spinach ravioli and salmon linguine. Yummy. Besides that i tried to take some belated shots when my moody camera decided its batteries were exhausted. So no shots again...

killing me softly with his song sounds like it's about a lady being
paranoid that this guy knows all abut her, but through further thought it seems to say that "
all love stories are the same." Ahha oldies songs again. You might know this already, but i just discovered it. =)
Ohh, and my new layout was inspired by the song "
candyman" sung by
christina aguilera. A really nice song to dance the
boogie to. I was looking for
audrey hepburn but found

Second Layout

I'm now on my second layout! Did it out of boredom. My first one will be in my archive on store for a rainy day sometime in the future, when I need a change.
Why snowflakes and scratches? Honestly, I don't know, probably because the snowflake brush was lovely and grunge-ish. If not you'd be seeing dandelions again.
Change is good, as in the book, “Who Moved My Cheese.”
Have you read it? I have. One cute book you should read. No heavy reading in this book. It's really thin.
You're probably wondering how I am online, people who I've told about my e-speed problem. Yupp, I’m online, not on Brunet, but on B-mobile. These things all have a penchant for being slow. Internet in Australia is lots faster.
It's been raining lots lately, and my two dogs are now perpetually dirty. And now that my maid is away, I've got to bathe them along with the new maid. She's actually gotten over her phobia of them. What phobia? My doggies bark deafeningly loud. That sums it up and explains it all. Despite that they don't bite, they're not direct descendants of wolves. =)
I'm wishing I were on holiday now. There's really not much to do at home except photoshop and take photos, and look at my books for next August. I'm trying hard to be
thankful that though now I don't get to go anywhere, I get to go to Aus at the end of this year. *sigh*

Suckin' too Hard on Your Lollipop, Oh Love's Gonna Get You Down

Too much candy gonna rot your soul.On Monday I missed dancing class. There was a heavy downpour and the backdoor immediately started dripping waterfalls of water. The rain was really heavy, the wind really strong, so strong that the windchimes on the backdoor started chiming-
Went out the door to be confronted at the junction by two fallen trees. Several cars came up the hill and were stopped by these two trees. So mum signalled for people to turn into our junction, but some just went over the trees. Then the water started flowing down the hill really quickly, then the tree began to move slowly down the hill towards a lady-driver in her white Lexus. Scary. So my mum backed her car and let the lady in. Fortunately nothing happened there....
In the afternoon Dad took me through the Jalan Tutong road to show the aftermath of the little typhoon. Trees were all over the Ripas side, some decorations for the Sultan's birthday had fallen. The Kiulap centerpiece thing in the middle of the roundabout came apart. Nothing there anymore.
I have photos =) I'll show you guys another time. It's raining heavily again outside, obviously since it's monsoon season...
--------So, what have I done so far for the past few days?
I tried to conduct a little photo-shoot just now. Pathetic, using self timer. They're the last two on my deviantart account.
Besides that, i helped Ching with her layout. Please take a look, I'm happy how it turned out =) She made the lovely banner herself.

There's something wrong with my layout, one of the posts is floating on top. Yesterday I got a comment that my layout was funny- sure enough, something had gone wrong. I'd appreciate it if you told me when the layout didn't look right on my blog- then I'll be able to debug it.
